{Five Minute Friday}- Small

Small

It's the small things that I miss the most.

At first I though it was the big things like Christmas, the birth of a child or a new business venture.

I though it would be a wedding or a party or any great family gathering but it's not.

It's the small things that I miss the most.

The morning calls that use to irritate me because I'm not a morning person.  Or the popup visits  to my house unannounced.  The never ending calls throughout my day just to say hello.  It's the small things I miss the most.

Calling to ask how to make a dish even when I knew how t, I just wanted her to tell me I'm doing it right.  It is the small things I miss the most.

The laughter, the smile the many encouraging but God said statements.  The way she would see the good in any thing, person, place or situation.  Yes I conclude it is the small things that I miss the most ABOUT MY MOM.

  1. Awww that is very sweet. I miss my Mom too. It's been almost 18 years now and I still miss her :( It's a good lesson on cherishing everyone at every moment isn't it...not knowing what a day will bring. May the Lord give your heart peace, rest and comfort. Visiting from Heart Filled Friday! :)

  2. Your post gave me a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Although my mother is still here, I miss the same things. She is suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia. In no way do I want to diminish your loss but I do understand.
