FEAR
Living in fear is one of the worst things that you can
do. Over the years I have sought the approval of everyone including absolute
strangers. The only approval that was
needed was that which comes from God. I
know this sounds easy enough but in the real world nothing is easy or
simple. The kingdom of God is at hand and we only have one life in this fleshly body to get t right. I’m taking some steps to overcoming the fears that have prevented me from moving forward in the direction that God has set for me.
I love getting help from others that have been there and
have Godly advice. Found a great article
on steps to conquer your fears. Here are
the steps!

Seven Steps to Conquer Fear
by Ernest Angley
1. Please God
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and
was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he
had this testimony, that he pleased God (Hebrews 11:5).
When
you please God, He will take care of you. Certainly you are pleasing God when
you are on His side doing His will. You need not fear so long as you are on the
Lord’s side.
2. Believe That He Is God
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is (Hebrews 11:6). Believe that He can and will do all things,
that He never has failed—no not one time—and that He will fight your battles,
bringing you out of the trouble you are in. If you will believe that He is God
at all times and know He is in control, then you will conquer the fear in your
life.
3. Recognize That He Rewards Those Who Seek
Him
He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Down through the ages God has
rewarded all who sought Him. Jonah, for instance, was disobedient to God, but
in time of trouble when he looked to God and cried out with a sincere heart God
healed and delivered him.
Hannah
sought God diligently for a son; God heard her cry and gave her Samuel.
The
Lord heard Peter when he cried earnestly, "Lord, save me!" and Peter
did not sink. The same God that delivered these people will deliver you if you
diligently seek Him. Why fear when deliverance is at hand?
4. Move at God’s Bidding
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet,
moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house (Hebrews 11:7).
Do
not move with fear of man or devil, but with fear of God, which is the
beginning of wisdom. Godly fear means faith in what thus saith the Lord and it
will cast out fear that binds and torments.
5. Obey the Voice of God
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place
which he should after receive an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not
knowing whither he went
(Hebrews 11:8).
Abraham
is called the "father of the faithful" because he believed what God
had told him; he walked by faith; not by sight. By faith he went forth to
perform what God told him to do. You must walk if you are to do the Lord’s
will. The Israelites walked twelve miles by faith through the Red Sea. The
Egyptians tried to walk it by sight, and the waters closed over them.
God
has spoken to you through His Word and you must obey the Word of God. When you
obey God’s Word, there is nothing to fear.
6. Search for God’s Promises
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder
and maker is God (Hebrews 11:10).
God
had promised Abraham a better country and, by faith in God, Abraham started out
to search for it. Remember, he had to leave everything behind and go forth only
with faith in his heart. Abraham found that wonderful city because he looked
for the promise.
God
not only has promised you a beautiful Heaven to go to, but He has promised you
salvation, the Holy Ghost baptism, physical healing, never to leave you nor
forsake you, and many, many other wonderful promises. If you look for the
promises that God has given you, you will find them, and fear will vanish.
7. Judge Him Faithful Who Has Promised
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive
seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged
him faithful who had promised (Hebrews 11:11).
Sarah
was past ninety years of age. How fantastic for God to tell her that she would
have a son in her old age! She believed God, judged Him faithful who had
promised, and the miracle happened.
No
case is too hard for the Lord, for with God nothing shall be impossible. Use
these seven steps to conquer your fears. Rise up with faith shining bright,
knowing that faith conquers all fears, and let God have His way in your life.
