Forgive... Even When It Hurts

Forgive…. But they hurt me so bad.  Sounds familiar?  As we walk the surface of this earth in these earthly vessels we will always encounter those that will hurt us, talk badly about us and out right lie on us.   My question is whose report are you going to believe, man’s or God’s?  For in Jeremiah 29:11 its says that  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)  God has a plan for your life if you just turn it over to him and let him do his job.  As women we sometimes take on the role of SUPER HERO and feel that we can do it all we don’t need anyones help, when that is contray to the word of God. He is more equip to fight our battles because there not ours  in the first place.

The great thing about the Lord is that he gives great and easy to comprehend instructions concerning every aspect of our lives.  Today I searched and he told me  “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.” ( 2 Chronicles 20:17 NIV).  So I’m ready… Ready to do nothing… Ready to let God show up and show out on my behalf.  If your heart is heavy and burden down with the spirit of unforgiveness, then now is the time to study, pray and let the Lord do his job.

Scriptures on forgiveness:
Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (NIV)

Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (NIV)

Matthew 18:21-22
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me?  Up to seven times?”  Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. (NIV)

Mark 11:25
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (NIV)
